Elaine Lawrence passed away

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Elaine Lawrence on Tuesday, June 20 peacefully at home. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to anyone who knew her.

Elaine is survived by her best friend and the love of her life for 53 years Ken Lawrence; two sons Kenneth (Michelle) and Marcus and many grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her siblings Jesse Levesque and Mariea Gallant.

Elaine was an avid football fan, watching the NFL with Kenny and taking stats for the touch football league for years. She was an avid music fan and loved to dance any time she had the chance.

She made an impact on anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and she will be forever missed.

Donations in memory of Elaine may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

2022 “B” Champions – BRICK CITY BOMBERS

Congrats to the 2022 SJMTFL “B” Champions:

Brick City Bombers

The Brick City Bombers won 14-13 over the Bandits to defend the “B” Championship to make it their fourth. This is the second time they won the “B” Title back-to-back (2017-18 & 2021-22).  They are the first team in League History (1988-Present) to accomplish this.

2022 “A” and “B” Championships (Super Saturday)

The “A” and “B” finals (aka Super Saturday) are this upcoming Saturday Nov 5th at the Allison Grounds Field.

“A” Final

2:00pmTigers at Volunteers

The Volunteers, in their fifth season, have finished in 1st Place and have been in the “A” Championship game in all five seasons. They are looking to reclaim the “A” title to make it their second. The Tigers are in their inaugural season with a 3rd place finish in standings and now at the “A” Championship game after two playoff wins. During the Regular Season, the Volunteers won both games against the Tigers. However, the past is the past and now the only thing remains… one game to determine the 2022 “A” Champions!

“B” Final

12:30pmBandits at Brick City Bombers

Seven is considered a lucky number and these 7th season teams are battling it out for the “B” Championship. During the regular season they each won and lost a game against each other. The Brick City Bombers finished 2nd Place in the standings which is their best team record. Plus they are the “B” defending champs and aiming to keep it to claim their fourth “B” Championship. The Bandits are 2-1 when they are in the “B” Championship game and looking for their third “B” Championship. Needless to say, this game is very important for each team. The one question is, who wants it more? Come out to watch the game to see who will be the 2022 “B” Champions!

Good Luck to everyone!

2022 Playoffs- Semi-Finals (Tues Nov 1st)

Quarter Final Results – Tigers and Bandits advance to the Semi-Finals (Tues Nov 1st)

SEMI-FINALS TUESDAY NOV 1ST at ALLISON GROUNDS

7:00pm BANDITS at VOLUNTEERS
8:30pm TIGERS at BRICK CITY BOMBERS

WINNERS – Advance to the “A” Championship (Sat Nov 5th)
RUNNER UPS – Advance to the “B” Championship (Sat Nov 5th)

2022 Playoffs- Quarter Finals (Sun Oct 30th)

We had to apply the Tie-Breaker rules between the tied 1st place Brick City Bombers and Volunteers. Based on the games between the two teams:
  • Rule 1 – The Most Points (PTS) were tied as each team were 1-1.  Move on to Rule 2.
  • Rule 2 – using the best net from the points scored (PF) minus points allowed (PA) which goes to the Volunteers with a +15 (25-40). So, 1st Place is Volunteers and 2nd Place is Brick City Bombers.
.
The Playoffs for the Quarter Finals is set for Sunday Oct 30th:

10:00am (6th at 3rd) – Tipsy Tomato Titans at Tigers

11:30am (5th at 4th) – Renegades at Bandits

WINNERS will advance to the Semi Finals.

RUNNER UPS will be eliminated from the Playoffs
