The Bandits won 25-0 over the Brick City Bombers. This is the 1st “B” Championship for the Bandits.

The Bandits won 25-0 over the Brick City Bombers. This is the 1st “B” Championship for the Bandits.
The “A” and “B” finals are this upcoming Saturday Nov 5th at the Allison Grounds Field.
“A” Final
2:00pm – Rage vs. Dub Squad
Both teams are at their first “A” Championship game! The Dub Squad, a new team this season, finished in 1st Place with a record of 10-1. The Rage are in their 8th season and they defeated the Raiders (35-20) this past Tuesday Nov 1st to advance to the “A” Championship Game. During the Regular Season, the Dub Squad defeated the Rage in two games by a score of 13-12 and 14-6 (a net of 9 points) while the third match up was a Default by the Dub Squad. So, this Super Saturday it will be a battle for the teams as each team wants their first “A” Championship Trophy!
“B” Final
11:00am – Brick City Bombers vs. Bandits
It’s the second season for both teams! The Brick City Bombers are making their 2nd appearance in the “B” Championship game while it’s the Bandits first. The Bandits beat the Brick City Bombers two of the three games during the season. Now it comes to one game to see which team goes home with their first “B” Championship!

These games will not be rescheduled as Playoffs start on Tuesday Nov 1st.

Congrats to the 1986 SJMTFL “A” Champions:
Speed Gas Tank
Speed Gas Tank’s Carl Olsen intercepted a pass late in the fourth quarter setting up Dave McGowan’s game winning touchdown, as Gas Tank downed Three-Mile Tavern 18-14 on Sunday at Shamrock Park.
Down 12-6 at the half, Three-Mile took a 14-12 lead in the third quarter when Kevin Beyea scored a major that was converted by Tom O’Reilly.
McGowan – who scored a pair of touchdowns – opened the scoring with his first TD in the first quarter, only to have Bruce Harding tie things up a few minutes later.

Kooler Kings survived a 6-1 defensive war with the Walking Wounded to take the championship.
Tony Hogan scored a major to give the King’s a 6-1 lead at the half would prove to be all the points they’d need.

Runner’s World
Tom O’Reilly scored a pair of touchdowns to pace Runner’s World to the “A” Championship on Sunday with a 39-0 beating of the 1880 Trojans.
Kevin Beyea, Chris Bartlett and Peter Clever all added single TDS for Runner’s World while Rob Wilson picked up two, two-point converts and Brendan Carson booted three singles.

The Walking Wounded trimmed Shoppers Drug Mart 13-6 in the “B” final.
Bob Driscoll and Bruce Crilley scored TDs for the Wounded with Steve Porter adding a convert.
Richard Pitts scored the lone Shoppers major.

There is an organizational meeting Wednesday night beginning at 7:30 at the YMCA.
All teams from last year are asked to have a representative at the session as well as any new teams or new players who wish join the fold.
Organizer Carl White explained that the circuit hopes to expand from eight to ten teams and is expecting to start the 1982 season September 12.
