1976 – 2nd League Meeting at City Hall

Pat Palmer of the Saint John Recreation and Parks Department says there’s a good deal of interest around the city in forming a men’s recreational touch football league.

We’ve had one organizational meeting already which drew fairly good response,

Palmer said.

Ten people attended but some of them are representing teams.

Palmer said another organizational meeting would be held Tuesday beginning at 7:30pm at City Hall.  All those interested are asked to attend the session.

Palmer said he was aiming at the over 20 age group.

1976 – 1st League Meeting at City Hall

Every story has a beginning… This is where it all started… back in 1976… Pat Palmer from the Saint John Recreation and Parks Department started the league. The First League Meeting of the Inaugural Season was Monday August 30th, 1976 at 7:30pm in City Hall.
